I agree with the barred rock for hen #1. But they are definitely different, their legs are different as well as almost a coloring difference. Like a shade difference when they are in the sun.

with those yellow legs, the first looks like a hatchery BR. if the second has white legs she might be a hatchery marans.

Second looks like a cuckoo Marans. Agree with others that #1 is a BR.

Both Barred Rocks.
The second just happens to have a darker 'wash' over her legs. Cuckoo Marans are very distinguishable because they have white legs.

The second chicken does have a white leg. It has a barely noticeable pinkish which may be from the cold.
