TSC Problems and Ranting

You are saying I am patronizing the store. When you say it in that sentence, the definitions of the form of patronize I provided, fits.

When you say "Then don't patronize the business anymore." after talking anout me making a thread to talk anout problems from TSC, that is what it seems like. If you would have said "Then don't be a patron of the business anymore." I would've understood clearly.

I apologize for the misunderstanding.
I thought how I used it was obvious. That's ok, it doesn't matter. I'm sorry your TSC isin't doing their job properly, seems like it is a store by store issue. Again, if you have issues with the way a store is ran, then calling corporate seems to be the more appropriate way to deal with it. Not starting a public thread that will not get any resolution to said problem

My local TSC had several chicks with severe pasty butt. The employees weren't too happy when I informed them.
I think it was the local Rural King, but I once went to a feed store with 11 chicks in a brooder. 10 chicks were in alright shape...... running circles around their obviously dead sibling!!!!

same store that sold my nana 6 chicks, 4 of whom died within a couple of days. (one was also eaten by wild animals, but I still have the sixth, a Plymouth Barred Rock named Lightning.)

I haven't had that experience at all with my local. The people are friendly and want to help. If they don't have something they will look up/call around to see if there's another store close that might, and if not they'll order it for you. Their Chicken people aren't experts, but they always try and do give the best advice they can.

I tend to shop with other local feed stores first, but I don't have any issues with our TSC. Mileage varies I guess.
I buy feed from a local feed store as well.

Some of the people at the store are friendly, I usually find the older workers to be friendly while the younger ones really don't want to be there.

I used to work at Petsmart, in the aquatic and small animal dept. All I want to add is that it is VERY hard to keep animals alive in a public store setting. The stress they experience from all the foot traffic and the small children screaming and hitting their cages is unreal

Thankfully, one thing I have not experienced at my TSC is dead chicks.

The chicks sometimes sleep on the floor all spread out like they are dead but when another chick walks over them they wake right up.

I had gotten a budgie from Petsmart a long time ago (He sadly passed away, RIP Kevin) and the kids beating all over his low glass cage that did not have a lid kept him forever scared of being messed with, so I did not force being held on him.

The last time I had went to get chicks, the employees didn't even care to come get the chicks, the delivery driver for the chicks, who didn't actually work at the store, just delivery, came to help. I appreciated that. The whole time I was being nice to the people, I would rather not make their day worse. I got the chicks that I had came for thanks to the help of the driver.
O.K.

I will have to ask, I know those that have worked retail want to know...

How did you happen to be there? or how did you know chicks were not being picked up/gotten by the employees...

How did a delivery driver even let you (a customer/non employee) have access to a delivery and the product (Chicks in this instance) without them being properly checked in by invoice...

It's very strange.
I agree, Coporate should be contacted in this instance, they should know that customers have access to deliveries and employees are not doing their jobs apparently.

I was at the store after calling to see if they had the chicks, they said they did. I know that they weren't because the delivery driver told me that he was the delivery driver. He worked for the people who send the chicks to TSC. A hired driver.

They were checked in. They were in their tubs and labeled like they needed to be. The delivery driver saw that there was no one helping so he came to help and also went to get an older worker to help him as well. The chicks were in and the delivery driver was still at the store. I was not trying to get chicks that were not checked in.

Makes sense.
