FIrst, I know, I know PHOTOS! will do. But I purchased six 'Reds' at TSC this spring. I have three hens left of these. I assumed that they were either RIR or NHReds, but the lady there said no- 'Reds'. they are all three lanky-ier than my hatchery birds, and tall three have slightly different markings colorings--one has a lot of black or very dark spots, another is very light red with no black.....I will work on photos, but thought someone might have a comment anyway

What about Red Sex Links ??? There are all kinds of different ones .........
And yes, Pictures might be helpful

Haha thats funny! My guess is that they are probably RIR's, but yes, please post some pics!...a lot of the times people at TSC or any other feed store dont neccessarily know much about the chicken breeds that they get in.
Example: there was a box of little black and white chicks, from experience I knew for a fact they were Silver Sebrights. They absolutely insisted that they were black sex links...that is until he looked through his papers and finally agreed they were indeed Silver Sebrights.

My guess is either Rhode Island Reds or more likely Production Reds which are a cross between a Rhode Island and a New Hampshire. Either way your probably going to have some dandy layers.
