Oh, I agree. I think they should put some sort of qualifier in the name...but I think they get away with it by specifying that they aren't "bred to standard" or whatever. Just like their orpingtons won't win any shows. It's the labeling of the product that gives customers information of what there looking at. So if you see a bin full of chicks and the label clearly states that it's speckled Sussex but in reality there GLW chicks. That's false advertising. Here's another example going into a jewelry store and buying a diamond ring only later taking it to an appraiser and he tells you that the ring is a zirconia.
Just demonstrating selling practices like this is not ok for most folks including myself.
Sorry ranting. Lol
Is that what a cinnamon queen is specifically? I breed RSLs with my RIR roo and white leghorn hens....Yes, but Cinnamon Queens are from a cross between a Rhode Island Red male and a Rhode Island White female and neither has a pea comb. Closest guess I come to is Buckeye.
According to the breed description I found. Didn't realize they also use SLW to make them.Is that what a cinnamon queen is specifically? I breed RSLs with my RIR roo and white leghorn hens....
