Does anyone know when TSC is getting chicks??

It's usually later in the spring for us here... around April, I think.

The Out Here magazine that I got said Mar 4-May 4, but that may be for our area (Southern In).

I've also seen March 4 in Backyard Poultry magazine. *I must resist, I must resist, I must resist. . . must not take children to TSC "just to look at the chicks"*

It varies from TSC to TSC. Give them a call to find out. The help at our TSC is never quite certain.

Our Atwoods already has them. Haven't stopped at TSC for a couple of weeks but since they are just down the road, to be competitive, my guess would be TSC already has them too.

Ours is getting them Feb 28th.
I went by there today and they're putting together the display.

Ours got chicks and ducklings the first week in March last year. They took pre-orders for a month before that. (Upstate NY)

According to the TSC web site, Chick Days for all TSC stores begins March 4 "at the latest" and runs through May 4. Our TSC will have their chicks next Tuesday. When we were there tonight, they asked why we weren't getting our chicks through them and I had to explain how they didn't offer the breeds we wanted. The manager nodded (we were the only ones there because of the snowstorm we're having now) and said that they aren't even going to clear the space for them until Monday!! Their shelves are hardly ready. Only one brand of chick starter, and it's not even dedicated chick starter. No crumbles. No brooder lights. Yipes.
