Turkey Cones Coming Soon- Advise Please??

There is a number of commercial cones that have a flat sides. I think that is mostly because of how they are made. Tapered slip rolls can be hard to find and they are not cheap.

The flat side uses a bit more material, then a true cone. But unless you have a tapered slip roll. Rolling a cone is time consuming on a flat slip roll.

Looking again at your prototype, the bottom should be around 4 inches,

The height looks good.

The top looks a bit narrow.

I still have not found, my large cone pattern yet.

Looking at your pics, on EBay, it appears that the metal is single edged. Is there any way to seam the top edge, with a brake, or would that cause a problem in rolling the metal into a circle?
That looks like an accident, waiting to happen. I know roof flashing can cut you, pretty easily, if you aren't careful.
Getting cut, during slaughtering, doesn't sound like a good thing.

They're actually made with thicker metal than roof flashing, so it holds up a little better, and cuts smoother. I've tried using a brake, and it doesn't work very well. The top edge is usually the factory, uncut edge, so it isn't sharp. Also, I go over them to check for any burrs or sharp edges with a grinder so they come out pretty smooth.

I haven't heard any feedback regarding this- has anyone who's bought a cone so far had a problem with cuts?

Thank you to everyone who's ordered cones. Just to let anyone know who's thinking about ordering in the near future, I will be out of town at a training for a week from 9/20-9/26. So, I won't be building any cones that week. Any cones sold during that time will be built when I get back, and due to my work and chasing around a two year old schedules, they may not be built IMMEDIATELY after (as it says on the eBay page, it may take up to a week for them to be shipped.) So, until this Saturday night, I'm going to try to build cones every night after work and get them shipped the next day. If you're going to be needing them in the near future, please order them before Saturday. Again, if you order next week, it could be three weeks before they're delivered (worst case scenario, with shipping time.)

Thanks to everyone, and I hope you are all enjoying your cones!
