Sounds like you are doing great... and an awesome (brave) person who isn't worried about pointing fingers or trying to pull one over on your land lords.

I wonder if a sling will help get her up where she can practice putting weight on the leg?

I am a fairly honest person
I have a very good relationship with the landlord/rancher. I am going to play it by ear. Hopefully TB can heal enough to reintegrate with her flock and not be attacked again. If not hopefully she can live outside near us and sleep on the porch by her own will where I can keep an eye on her

I have no idea about turkeys, but it would seem an antibiotic would help prevent infection, but I don't know what ones a turkey can use.

Thank you,she is doing pretty good. Had a strong appetite last night. Put her outside on a table in a cage yesterday so that she cpuld get some sunshine and fresh air.

I have no idea about turkeys, but it would seem an antibiotic would help prevent infection, but I don't know what ones a turkey can use.

I made a mixture of vaseline and Neosporin and rubbed some on her back and leg first day. Next day I let her back dry out and its healing decently. When I change her leg bandage I ad a touch of the mixture agter I clean it.

I was thinking more of an oral or injections of antibiotic. Like Penicillin G or Tylan.

I asked the rancher if they had any I could give her, they usually have some things in the barn. But thats when I was told that theu had no interest in spending money on a $5 bird

Turkey Burger is doing better. Her back is healing well. She preens herself. She eats very well and drinks her vitamin water and has been fairly vocal.
I redressed her leg again today.I was able to fix it so that her foot is flat and straightened out rather than twisted and folded under. She has been trying to stand more on it and is more stable.
