My Red Bourbon turkey hen is caring for her 4 hatchlings (2 weeks old) and doing a great job. Then she laid an egg in her pen yesterday! This is after at least 35 days of not laying eggs. She kind of nests on her egg and her hatchlings at the same time now. How weird is that? I assumed her egg-laying would stop while she was mothering. Anyone have any clues?
