This morning I noticed a runny brown poop from one of my turkeys, assuming it's them because the chickens poo are smaller. Is runny poo a sign of something not right for my turkeys? Tommy and Trudy -- they will be guests for the holidays, not eaten LOL. Thanks for any info! It's raining hard out now and I didn't bring camera out when I let them out this AM. I can keep an eye on it and bring phone to take pix next time I notice anything . .

I wouldn't worry quite yet. It is normal for some of the turkey poops to be brown and runny.

If your running chickens and turkeys together (which for some regions is a risk) I would keep a keen eye on it and look for any other abnormal changes (such as yellow streaks and/or frothiness).

thank you -- we have 6 hens, 1 rooster and 2 turkeys we are keeping through the winter. First timers.

I uploaded my pix to my email but can't get it to save to a file so I can pull it in here; I'll have to have my husband help me with it later LOL gotta get ready to leave for a while .. . will be back this afternoon

trudy (female) her poops are solid. and tommy (male) runny poops are eating the same as chickens, mash and scratch -- corn and wheat
