Hi there all,
I have 27 BBW I am raising for the thanksgiving market. This is my first go at it, so bare with me. They are about 8 weeks old. Today I noticed one of the stumbling around, like she was drunk or something. When I investigated further I noticed the top of one of her feet is swollen....no scab or anything like bumblefoot. Her toes are starting to curl also.
I have been reading that it might be a broken foot. She seems fine besides having a hard time getting to the feed and the water. Is the curling toes from the swelling on top of the foot? I tried to get a picture, but she wasn't so crazy about that idea and kept running away!
Anyone experienced this, and is there a treatment or a way to make her more comfortable? I really don't want to lose another turkey!!
