Turkey Poult Can’t Poop, Help!

I have an update for anyone that happens to read this. I tried olive oil (he did not like it but I was able to get him to eat some) and prune baby food (he didn’t like it much either). Anytime he had poop stuck to him I got it off, and at one point had to use tweezers to help out when there were pine shavings sticking out of his vent. I took all the pine shavings out of the brooder and used paper sacks to line it.

Yesterday he finally pooped, a whole lot came out, and he’s been pooping ever since! His vent is starting to look more normal and less ballooned out.

I’m not sure he’s completely out of the woods yet, the area between his vent and his legs feels really tight, and I can see some veins popping out (not sure if that’s normal or not though) and his poop isn’t very solid, but I’m not too worried since he’s been acting normal.

Thank God the little rascal is doing better! You may want to still keep an eye on him, considering the ruffled feathers, it can be a sign of other illnesses also.
You got to post us some pics of your little boy!
:love:fl:hugs

I will, he’s a sweetheart, I’d be sad to lose him.
