Turkey Talk for 2014

I consider $8 each for heritage poults VERY cheap since mine sell for $15 each at hatch. Send me details please. I may be interested is some of your poults.
Let me rephrase. For chicks it is a great deal as many more sell for a higher price. I paid $25+ 6wk Orpingtons last year so the $$ stacks up fast. It's just not "cheap" for me if I just spent $250 on turkeys already lol.

I also need to put in an order for ducks that will come out to roughly $150 and I have no idea how much getting new chicks will cost me next year yet as I haven't pinned down a source. So cheap is spending less than $600 on new stock & then not oo much more on materials for new pens. Of course, I'm that woman that has to have everything RIGHT NOW so easing back into it isn't really an option

I traded ancona ducklings for turkey poults this year (my annies & poults both go for $15 each at hatch so I considered it an even trade). If you happen to be looking for anconas I would love to swap you ducklings for poults. I also have call ducks.

You misunderstood my post. I was responding to TattooedMama's inquiry about including cheap chicks (chickens) in with turkeys so she wouldn't have to buy 15 poults. The $8 is for my show quality chicken chicks, not poults. Poults are $12.

Still not a bad price for poults. See my post above if you are interested in swapping for some ancona or call ducklings.

The best part of waking up... is turkey butt in your cup?

Loving my first turkeys. Even if they've made me into a jungle gym.

Thanks for all the great photos and info in this thread!
