4th poult finally made it out.
Post on this thread and they might be able to help. I am sorry I just don't know. Not sure haven't look close yet letting dry out.
Question for you all. One of the poults I just hatched out has a leg that is swollen at the knee joint and leg stay along. Body and won't extend. Is this potentially fixable or should I cull.
Might be a slipped hamstring. I've had it happen twice. If the leg seems to be in the proper location at the hip, you should be able to gently rotate it behind the poult and straighten it out. Use one hand to gently support the bird, head toward your wrist, and fingers supporting the injured leg. Then roll your fingers over the hock like you were rolling a cigarette, after a couple of seconds stop rolling and see if the poult flexes the leg at the hock. It may take a couple of tries, or it may not work at all.Not sure haven't look close yet letting dry out.

Thank you. I tried that several times. Each time the leg went back along the body. So after some soul searching I decided to cull.Might be a slipped hamstring. I've had it happen twice.
