Cocci and worms are a problem when the ground is wet and stays wet. I live in AL. and it stays wet at times and the humidity makes it worse.

Wonderful info hereI just skimmed thru it, I have 2 bronze breasted turkeys that are about8 weeks old, they are outside now in their grow out pen, they've been there for a couple of weeks now & doing great, I have put them in w/ my chickens & I have one or two that are evil & jump on top of the turkeys & chase & corner them!! I am thinking I need to seperate the mean hens??!! I really want the turkeys in a bigger pen as I have 4 chicks going to the grow out pen in a couple of weeks, but I don't want my turkeys injured or beat up!! Any suggestions??
Also at what age do they start laying? I THINK I have a male & female LOL I hope haha & do you eat turkey eggs?
thanks![]()

They will most likely not lay eggs until next spring. At least mine never do.

. So far we have seen both of them strut a bit, but the smaller one struts a lot more. I was assuming the bigger one with the thicker legs and the longer tail feathers would be male?Beautiful babies!! Sorry its to young to tell gender. But watch and see if any of them "strut" usually only males strut but I have seen hens strut to.
