Yesterday I witnessed what looked like Jive Turkey (our bronze breasted) finally getting it on with Tina, our bronze breasted hen. He even got the right end this time. Since he's so huge, though, I have no idea whether or not he was successful. I'm just happy he seems to have figured out the general mechanics. She's been squatting for him for weeks now, unrequited.

LOL....I bet that is funny. I haven't really seen my boy try yet but it sounds like it could be quite comical when he starts!

It is funny. My little hen was crying softly, probably telling him wrong!

Aunt Kat mine started that way he is just trying to prove him self King of the Barnyard. Then he started at me that's when I chased him. Haven't had issues with him in quiet some time.

I have noticed that my hens who are 11 mths old have messed up looking tail feathers. Does that mean the boys are doing their job and getting busy.
