I found 3 Bourbon Red hens that were hatched last spring for sale 2hrs from me on CL. I hope they are still available. I need some girls for my poor, lonely tom! They are only $25 each, so they are well worth the 2hr trip!
I made an order for 20 surplus Broad Breasted turkeys (bronze and white mix) through Meyer. They should be here March 25-27th.

Hopefully you can still get them. If not look for some livestock buy,sell or trade facebook pages for your area or poultry facebook pages. I joined alot of them to keep up with what is selling in my area.
Congrats on on getting some more poults! Please post pics.

Its day 7 candle the eggs day!!! I cheated and looked at a couple last night. ITS HARD! with all the darn spots and stuff plus
I don't know what I'm looking at

.

I finally did see some tiny veins and the spot where the baby is.. looking at the chicken eggs first helped a lot I guess it warmed my eyes up.

I'll try looking at the rest of the turkeys tonight.

Theres a guy in my area selling turkey eggs for $3 a dozen. "the dad is white, the mom is brown, I don't know if they are fertile"

I said well why don't you crack a few open? does not sound promising but I'm tempted to get a dozen just to look.

For that price you can't go wrong! You can sell some and put some in freezer camp.

I have trouble seeing in turkey eggs until about day 14. Don't give up too early.
