WOW! You must be very organized. And you must love what you do.
Oh my . . my boys are very docile to us, a little rough on the other toms.I love Narri. Sadly I rehomed my beautiful tom to someone who thought he could tame the beast. 3 yes old about 50lbs of pure devil.
WHat every you dicide it's ok-- I culled a number of my poults because they were not right due to incubating issues--- always difficult but the right thing to do for me and them.I took the hobbles off my poult yesterday, day 4. No improvement. In fact, his hocks (elbows?) look swollen and I think he's getting bed sores on them. I don't want him to suffer. He seems happy enough right now, but the 2 in with him are not happy at all. They hate the plastic bin brooder. They aren't eating as well as they were and they spend a lot of time pacing, pecking the side of the bin and calling to the others in the big brooder. I'm thinking maybe I should cull him, which sucks after 5 days of hand feeding and getting attached. But his hocks have a yellow cast to them. Makes me think infection. What do you think?
Lav !!My lone poult from CDM hatch is a lavender. Think I shall keep it for a breeder regardless of gender.![]()
