So I think I have the smartest turkey hen on the planet lol. She has learned how to open the screen door to the slider and continuously is letting herself into the house

What a smart girl! Clearly she enjoys your company. Love the tame turkeys. Does she invite her friends in??

No way lol. I keep putting her back outside and then TADA!!!! shes standing in the livingroom again lol. I think I need to keep her penned.

She is smart and she LOVES my company she follows me all over and when she realized where I was when out of site she started rubbing her body against the screen slider and slowly slid it open. She has not invited friends in thankfully lol.

If your screen door doesn't lock, you can put a dowel or a 2X2 or something similar down between the bottom of the door and the far door frame to keep it from opening temporarily until you can install a locking mechanism or a hook or something else. LOL my friend has a BBB hen that constantly goes through the dog door. She also fluffy up and honks like a goose anytime strangers come to her place...

So an update on my 2 mommies that were jointly sitting on 8 turkey egg. It got down to 3 eggs and yesterday this little cutie popped out. The other 2 were perfect little blue slates that I believe got crushed accidently by the turkey hen . So far the poul mainly stays with the broody chicken but also is quite happy to go and peck/ chirp to the turkey hen . They are both pretty involved -lucky poult!

A broom or mop handle would work also. That is so funnnnny!
