Harley's girl :
Now see, I have mine in their own brooder, own food, & own waterer. I was told if you put them in with chicks they will die. If they eat chick starter they will die. If I out them outside where my adults chickens have been they will die. If they don't have super high protein they will die........
Do you see my pattern here? I had no clue they were such picky birds. SO.....I have them separated from all other life form (except me.
) I was wondering when I can put them with the adult chickens? I know that people have turkeys and chickens together.......why can't I? Sorry I am sure that did not answer any of your questions.
I have heard of a disease called "Blackhead".. After searching all over I ran across a good post to use Cyan Powder in their drinking water.. I do not add as much as poster was using.. I figure over the long period that the bugs in side will die anyway if this really does anything..
I am hatching chicks right now with my turkey eggs to show the dumb little critters how to eat and drink.. My main outside group (grown) are all together now... I made a house and pen side by side for the chickens and turkeys,, but they have to scatch in each house or just to go in and take a big dump.. don't know which.
But so far I have not had any problems.. (knock on wood... that's my old wooden head).....
BTW... next thursday is the D-Day for 2 of my incubators ... Hmm.. of should that be H-Day....
