I have a Turkey that has a REALLY bad sinus infection I think. Her right side is super swollen and has some clear mucus stuff. SO I have some Enfofloxacin and Bromhexine in the water for her. I do not know for sure if she is really drinking but I think she is. She was not this bad a few days ago... Its only her right side. Her left is fine.
I am unsure what all to do for her. I'm sure she is in pain or even well does not feel good at all. She is not like a handle bird so she does not like to be touched or held.

TO make sure she is getting the meds in her should I tube feed??

Have you added any new birds to your flock recently who may have been a carrier of mycoplasma gallisepticum (MG, CRD?) Tylosin powder or Tiagard/Denagard in the water will treat symptoms, although turkeys may suffer more severe illness. Enrofloxacin tastes bad and birds may not want to drink it. When sinus infections are that swollen, pus may need to be removed by opening the skin. Here is a some reading about MG

I heard Tylosin powder and Tiagard are both very bitter or did I read that wrong. I added a few Turkeys yes. BUT I have no idea they are carriers. The owner that had them never had an issue with them getting any sinus issues. And no one else has shown any signs.
I can order some Tragard or Tylosin but by time it gets here it may be to late at that point for her. mmmm.
It is very swollen and I have tools here I can open skin with... I have did bummble foot before. But Never this. This is the first time with this. I may need to do it tho, its so swollen its got her beak a little pushed strange. I picked her up and moved her into a kennel far off from the others. She kicked and flapped so she is not hand tame ha...

I think you need to lance it and drain it.
IS there a video on how to do this?? I want to make sure I do this right...

ALSO hey could the meat chickens have brought it here? I got meat chickens from TSC... The royal palm turk was housed with them or well next to them... My other turkies were all ready fully grown and free range. I hatch this one. I got some eggs off someone and two hatched. The sister to this one has not shown any signs.

Mycoplasma can pass through a hatching egg. Denagard does apparently taste bitter, and many say they have to add something to the water to make it more palatable. I haven’t heard people saying that Tylosin tastes that badly.

OH no... Now I wonder about he eggs I got.... I might be getting rid of some turkey's.... uuggg... But I do want to save this one I feel bad for her.
I will be cutting it out tomorrow I did look at some photos I think I know what to do now on that. I can order the Tylosin but it wont be here for least a week... I'll keep trying what I have with them I may add some apple juice or something to the water to see if that helps.
