Today I went out to the barn and noticed that my young Tom's face is swollen on one side, between the eye and beak. It feels like it's filled with air(-maybe- fluid). His poop is runny, but it always has been since the day I got him(which I thought was odd) but he's eating and drinking normally. Any idea what the problem might be?

Welcome, sorry about your turk. IF there are no other signs of disease at present, consider an insect bite or injury. If he is having problems with breathing, that, along with swollen infraorbital/paranasal sinus could be a sign of something more problematic (is usually swollen on both sides of face).

Mycoplasma gallisepticum would be one candidate.

However, turks can also get Bovine Tuberculosis and exhibit similar swelling (very unlikely).

Your tom shouldn't be pooping nothing but runny stool (have you wormed him?).

Please post picture if possible and answer the questions in the sticky at the top of this subject line that are relevant. The more info the better.

Ooo....I think I had a turkey(s) that had that a long time ago...never did know what it was though. The picture on there looks like it though.
