Ruptured air sac. Does it look like this? Where there is air along the body and under the skin? And bloating them literally like a balloon? Its comparable to a humans collapsed lung. Lancing is the fix, pop them like a balloon, may need to repeat.View attachment 1557526

Lancing with a pin will likely cause it to come right back. The hole needs to be made a little longer so it can vent long enough for the problem to heal.

Yeah, they recommend a 19 gauge needle.

My neighbor used a needle and the problem came back the next day. On the second try, he used a scalpel and the turkey healed fine.
