So a ruptured air sac will cause an air bubble there, but not in the neck?

My neighbor used a needle and the problem came back the next day. On the second try, he used a scalpel and the turkey healed fine.

I remember you said, but the article said the vet had to use a large 19 gauge needle. Do you know what size your neighbors was? I think its better to start small before attempting slicing her.

The air bubble can extend up into the neck area also.

Interesting. I've seen ruptured air sacs in a few of mine, but it's always been localized close to whatever air sac was ruptured.
