OK NEW AT THE WHOLE TURKEY THING HOW CAN YOU TELL IF YOU HAVE A TOM..... I HAVE 2 BB & 2 WHITE TURKEYS NOT EVEN SURE OF THE BREED. PURCHASED 4 A WEEK B/4 EASTER AND LOST 3 TO COONS THEN PURCHASED 4 MORE A MONTH LATER AND LOST ONE TO A DROWNING. NOW I HAVE 2 WHITE AND 2 BRONZE ONLY ONE BRONZE IS OLDER THE OTHER THREE ARE THE SAME AGE. PURCHASED AT 2 WEEKS OF AGE

Help!! I have 2 baby turkeys that are 2 days old and are not walking. they lay and sleep but will kick their legs and go around in circles. I need to know what I need to do or if they are crippled. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Good looking turkeys! I have some standards and some BB's that are supposed to be the same age but I can barely tell the difference in them. I was wanting to grow them out side by side and watch for the changes.

Wow, thanks silkiechicken.....what a great diary. I was wondering about how long to grow mine out to 10/12 pounds. I know each breed grows a little different...but I am looking about 1 Sept now. Thanks again!

I wanted a turkey, but someone told me that turkey's generally are NOT friendly to have around.. like geese. Is that true?
