Turkeys For 2013

I know that everyone is complaining about getting no eggs or getting just a few eggs. Well, I"m ready for my girls to STOP laying eggs.

EGGS ARE EVERYWHERE!!! i'm tired seeing eggs!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of the bourbon reds hatched this morning. The eggs are in lock down along with the holland whites I received from Ceclie. I'm super excited to see how many will hatch. I want to get more eggs from you please put me back on your waiting list. Will post pictures as soon as I can.

Kuntrygirl, I also am overrun with eggs.  I'm hoping I will be able to sell them (poults)  Raising turkeys aren't big around here.  I called our county agriculture department early on in raising them, concerned about  Blackhead, to find out that it is in the soil in certain areas and thankfully mine isn't one of them.  I'm very careful about bring any adult or chick to my property.  Even though it's not there now doesn't mean it never can be.  sue

I have been getting A LOT of calls for poults but I have a small incubator, so the most that I could hatch would be 12. If I had a larger bator, then I could hatch more poults. It's almost pea fowl egg time, so I do not want to put any other eggs in the incubator. I'm waiting on my Pea Hens to lay starting April. I have 2 more weeks for the goose eggs and I'm kicking them out of there.

But I an lucky enough where I am selling ALL of the turkey eggs. Thank goodness!

( it's a medium to larger coop)
