Turkeys With Chickens

I currently have 7 chickens and 3 guinea fowl. I would like to add a few royal palm turkeys to the flock but I have heard that it is very easy for them to get a disease. Is this a good idea?

Check with your local extension office to see if there's any instance of blackhead disease in your area. If not, mix em in. Lots of us have combined flocks without issue.

I have two 3.5 month old turkeys housed in with my 8 chickens. I think one turkey is a Tom but not sure. The one I think is a Tom keeps chasing my oldest hen and pecking her neck/head and jumping on her back with its feet. Is this normal behavior? Do turkeys kill chickens?

They can kill chickens. They are going to fight until they figure out the pecking order. Only turkey killing chicken instance I've had was an obnoxious up and coming rooster that decided to duke it out with a group of jakes.
