Turning?

I did calibrate my hygrometer and I'm now using three thermometers (none of which show the same reading, of course).

I'm using the 2x4 method (inside the bator).

Set the eggs late on Friday evening so this is only 48 hours in. I candled one egg just to look for any changes, not really expecting to see anything, and holy crap!! I saw a tiny beating heart!!! I'm way too excited.

I really wanted to candle the rest of them but I controlled myself.

I listed my incubator for sale on ebay this weekend.

It's an Hova Bator with an egg turner. I used it twice this summer and had a blast watching the eggs hatch.
I read where you can take an old computer fan and install it in the incubator. What I read said to take an old used phone charger and use it as a power cord for the fan. I haven't tried this but it sounds like it would work.

I'd love to have that--but shipping would be outrageous.

I check craigslist here literally every day hoping that they'll be one closer.

I usually do not turn mine for the first 3 days if the eggs are shipped. That's after a 24 hour rest period. But, 10 days is too long to not turn an egg. It will stick. The egg carton works good.
