TV Dinners~ bad for you?

I often feed my kids, a bunch of their friends, a DH who needs 4,000 calories daily, and worked full time. Easy as sin meal - crock pot meat, then take veggies and toss with sauce of choice. Mix in meat. Dump over noodles or rice.

I don't own a microwave at home, but no way in heck am I taking much of anything but microwave meals to work. The occasional sandwich or salad is fine by me, but usually I'm hungry-feed-me-NOW, and if I'm going to be using a microwave anyway to heat up even homemade leftovers, then heck yes I'll be taking the prepared option at that point. Now if I didn't work full-time away from home, then there would be no microwave meals in my fridge. But, I've got to admit, Amy's has managed to outcook me in the enchilada area every time. Darn it.

Seriously, so good.

We get them on super sale here at several stores. They end up being 2 bucks each.

I like Amy's as well for quickness sake, but much prefer cooking from scratch. In act, cooking is one of my all time favorite things to do, so my family gets the beautiful experience of my experiments! (most of the time, LOL!)

It's not the calories, it's what else is in it. Often filler, low/no veggies and enough sodium for a week.

Chicken, broccoli, and rice. I am active and I sweat a lot in these hot days. My body probably needs the sodium.
