Twilight Addiction

You know I think I was hoping for too much when picking up The Host. I felt like Steph's heart wasn't in that one. Like she wanted desperately to give herself a break from the Twilight series, but ...

Anyways, I forced myself to finish The Host but I did a lot of skim reading. Still... any Stephanie Meyers fans should read it. I could be the oddball. Hehe

I LOVED IT!
Way more than even the Twilight books. Much more skillful writing and I thought the idea behind it was awesome.

i will have to say that when my teenage son was tied up in the hype of the books when they first came out i was like whatever its another harry potter...

but i seen the moves and it was good...

I am NOT a reader...I HATE reading...it takes a lot for me to get into a book .there have been a few i have gotten through Da'vinci code was another one that I got into and most of the books by Dan Brown...

I started the series Twilight on a thursday and got through all 4 books in 11 days and wanted more

I liked the fact that they were an easy read. I did not have to remember what was going on like a mini drama series or the soaps on TV (i dont have the memory for that)...

there was no shocking plot twists that i got lost and felt like I had to go back and re-read a section..

I dont want to give to much away but i will say that the last book could have been better written. If my DD was in the same positions you can bet your bottom dollar i would react different then what charlie did. lol

But didn't you feel like it was too much like the Jack Finney Body Snatchers books? I just kept feeling like it wasn't a new concept and that she should have focused more on life outside of the caves instead of in them.

Someone mentioned it being an easy read...
I agree.. The Twilight series was an "easy" read, but sometimes I just need that. Just like action movies that are 100% eye candy, but no plot. It still feels fun. I think the Harry Potter series were easy reads but I thoroughly enjoyed those - and I'm 31 years old. I'm getting past the embarassment

The Twilight series was an easy read however, I think it was meant to be more of a "young adult" books series not for adults.

I thought my preteen daughter was crazy when she became obsessed with Twilight, then I started reading the books. I was dying to see the movie so we waited 4 hours til the movie went on sale at midnight. I watched it and I am just as obsessed as she is. My fiancee thinks we're both nuts. Carlisle is SO HOT! I am on pins and needles until New Moon comes out in theatres in November.
