twilight attack--neck wound

I forgot to mention...
We had a bird disappear after a different hawk incident. She reappeared after 3days. I think sometimes they just freak out, go into shock, and hide for a bit. Hope she shows back up!

Our neighbor'so bird once got attacked by a hawk. The hawk had picked the bird up by her shoulders and she had shallow puncture wounds on her shoulders and one on her back. The chicken fully recovered! I would suggest checking those areas when you find your missing bird. I would also keep the othersame cooped up for a few days to keep the Hawk away. Give your injured bird Apple cider vinegar in her water. Chickens love it, and it contains good vitamins and minerals they need.
Great idea about the ACV--thank you! They're all in the (very secure) run at least until the weekend. They've never been cooped up in there, so I added all of the interesting things I can think of, but it's still going to be...challenging, I think.

Glad she liked it!! :)
I can't take credit for the idea, someone mentioned it on my post!
Update after the weekend: Fifi's wound is looking really good and she's eating and drinking like a champ! I let the other girls out while I was in the yard and my friend gave me her daughter's EXTREMELY shiny metallic pompoms, so maybe...

Darn , sorry to hear that!

She is doing really well! However I think i have totally spoiled her. I'm not sure she'll ever want to go back out with the other girls
