Hello everyone. I've had terrible luck with my duck egg hatching. All seem to pass just before hatch or pip. However, some strange miracle is the only egg I have still alive and kicking is this twin egg. Currently on Day 27. So just wondering when the best time would be for me to assist. I can candle through the incubator plastic and still see movement without opening the incubator. I did make a small safety hole already as found others were passing after internal pip. Whether this helps or was wrong thing to do I'm not sure but just desperate for some ducklings to survive.

Duck eggs usually hatch on day 28. So I wouldn't worry too much yet. I don't know much about ducks but I don't assist my chicks unless the rest of them are already out .... Since there is only one id wait until day 29 at the least.

It's moving alot. Just not sure whether to help yet or wait for pip. I keep thinking maybe they are both so squashed that they can't get into position to pip.
