Twin duckling egg.

You may need to help one of the twins. They need to pip internally into the air bubble but there's only one air bubble at the big end. The twin at the other end will try to pip. I've read of one that pipped into it's own yolk sack which drowned it. I think it needs to pip externally because it has no air bubble but can't because it needs that air bubble for oxygen energy to get through the shell. Plus I believe the shell at the pointy end is tougher. You might need to find the chicks position and poke a safety hole when the time comes. I really don't know much about this, just stuff I've read here n there. Look deeply into this to be ready. I'm cheering for you!:wee

I've watched a few videos of them doing safety holes. Never had to do it myself

Not sure. I bought barnyard mix eggs. I'm unsure about this being a double yolker honestly. When I candled at day 4 to take out the infertile, there looked to only be one embryo. And I could only see 1 yolk (although never seen a double through candling before honestly. ) then on day 6, when I candled again due to an issue with my electricity going out for 30 min. (Yes I'm a worrywart. ) I noticed the wierd separation in it like I would see in an older embryo when it moves around, then saw the two heart beats.

I dunno if you can get twins from one told with birds or if I just didnt recognize it being 2 yolks

If you go to my profile I have a thread about my project with pictures of the process, so you could check them out and compare to your egg to see if it looks similar. It’s pretty clear when it’s a double, you see two dark masses.

Fingers crossed!!
