Hi there,

I have just hatched 13 chick eggs from a mixed batch. One of them was fine for a couple of days but has developed a horrible twist in its neck. I have been feeding it egg yolk and chick crumb. Can someone advise me on the best form of treatment please.

Since wry neck (also called torticolis, crook neck, stargazing) can be caused by either vitamin E or B1 thiamine deficiency, or a head injury, I would get human vitamins E softgel 400 IU and B complex 1/4 tablet, and give her those daily orally. The softgel can be cut open and mixed with food. Feed her throughout the day with a little egg mixed in her food for selenium, and making the food watery can get more water into her.

Thank you so much!!!
