Two chicks are lathargic. One died HELP urgently

Let's just hope the smaller one died of starvation from being immature. Failure to thrive chicks almost always die in the first few weeks.

If this other chick is eating well, the full crop would be normal. But check it in the morning before it eats. Its crop should be flat then. If not, give it coconut oil for possible blockages. Maybe give it coconut oil right now.

Hydrogen peroxide may clean wounds, but the purpose of gentian violet is to turn the wound from red to purple so it doesn't look like blood. It also will disinfect the wound. You can get it from a pharmacy.

Are any of the other chicks starting to behave sick?

I don’t know, they’re all asleep

I think it’s going to die.

You may be looking at a serious disease. Do you have access to any oral antibiotics? Look specifically for Tylosin powder. Are any of the other chicks sneezing or coughing?

Is it night time there? Can you turn on a light and get the chicks to move about so you can see if any are becoming lethargic? Try to find an antibiotic.

Good. Keep that up the antibiotic for the next two weeks. Give them all additional protein and vitamins, too. Hopefully, you don't lose any more chicks. I'm so sorry this is happening.
