It still has a cord attached too buy its no longer attached to the egg, it seems to be drying up

This is an interesting thread since I have two three weeks old chicks. However they came into this world thanks to my broody hen who takes care of them completely. I am helicoptering a little bit, but having a fierce and committed mom in charge seems my job is to be amused
