two dead chickens :(

Are there any gaps or sagging spots in the netting that a critter could squeeze through? Is it mostly taunt with no slack?
How big is the spacing in the netting?
I don't know if the OP has their run covered. Mine is covered with heavy duty netting. My pens total area is 60 ft by 200 ft. I'm an old lady and put the original netting up several years ago with no help. I have trees in all of the pens. I cut the netting to put it around the base of the trees then fasten the parts together where I cut the netting. Tensile Strength: 85/245 LBS per Mesh. This picture was taken a few months ago.

Originally I used zip ties on the netting. My pens are 60' x 200' the largest netting I could find at the time was 50' x 150' so I had to piece some of it. Over the years the zip ties eventually started to deteriorate and came off in places. Since I have used hog rings to piece the netting together and all is well. I bought the original netting on eBay at a very good price. I put in a max bid and to my surprise I won the bid. This is the same netting which is quite a bit more expensive than I paid on eBay.

I didn't have quite enough of the heavy duty netting to completely cover my pens so I bought some other netting online which wasn't what I thought it was and an owl went through the netting three times. Each time it went through I replaced it with the same crappy netting because at the time that was all I had. The owl killed some birds. I moved the birds to another coop and pen and put up a camera. The owl came back and went through the netting again. I bought some good heavy duty netting and replaced the crappy netting. The owl came back but this time it got caught in the netting. DH and I managed to get it out and into a cage. We called some wildlife people who came and got it.
