Two duck pips so far!! Update, they are out!!!

I would if I could figure it out? My daughter, who is more computer savvy than I, said something about getting a photo bucket account and using a code. Which is GREEK to me.

Though I am sure I could figure out photo bucket, but "code"????
I have baby chicks I still have to post pictures of in the incubating section too!!

I sent a pic of my current hatch of chicks and the two baby ducks to Paganbird to put on our thread in incubating. I think she is going to post them there?

Well, only two baby ducks but not unhappy about it.

(I am going to try duck eggs again this year for sure!)
My daughter named them Ferdie and Happy. They are precious!

I got TWO goose eggs today. One went in the bator and the other was one of those "first" eggs from the goose. Really odd shaped and very thick shell in places and really thin in others. I just broke it to check the fertility... It was!!! yeah. I now have 5 goose eggs in there. Getting way to many different days. Gotta get another bator for hatching or I will be in a mess in about 3 weeks. I did throw out 25 duck eggs that were not fertile and that only left 5 that were developing. Replaced with 16 more duck eggs and will check for fertility in a week or so.. I am sure I will have a lot more to throw away then. My male duck was really getting him some today... he was on her BACKWARDS tho. He was really strutting when he got off tho..lol. He really thought he had done something. I was suprised when I had any fertile..

Fertile goose eggs, congrats!!

I am going to attempt another duck hatch next month if I get a chance, just have to find the duck eggs.

I would be glad to share a dozen or so but my duck eggs are very unfertile....lol only getting one or two goose eggs every few days.

No, thats okay, sorry if it sounded as if I was asking, I was only commenting.

I am just going to keep my eyes open. I know my aunt will have some later from the ducks I hatched for her last year, but I dont know if she has any yet, going to ask.

NO... I didn't think that at all. Just complaining a bit about my dumb male duck. lol. He is so silly when he breeds their heads or their wings. He must get it right every once in a while. I had 5 fertile out of 32. Not very good. I never thought you were asking for any. I would be glad to give them away if they were only any good for hatching..lol

Is he a young drake? Sometimes it takes them a little while to get it right,lol!
