Want nerve racking? I delivered my wife's first child because the doctor was late! She turned out quite well also!YES THE TWO LIVED!!! I don’t know how to tell everyone, talking to Sevenfatcows now because on is a runt with issue right now. If you know how to let our peers know that wld be great and we need prayers for Peanut(runt). Also, I’ll get pics when thing calm down. Thank you for asking as well, it was nerve recking of many hours to say the least but I’ll get pics n send directly to you too!
OMG I HAVE CANNED OYSTERS....sorry at first I thought I had salmon (I don’t eat water creatures of any kind) have Gatorade in orange and giving pedialite now. Today I gave the chic starter with Med. Oh n yes I have tuna in water though for a feral cat. Would I be giving all this to mini-but seems a bit grotesque! Hope to hear back thank you for chatting with me!Way to go...What do you have on hand? Do you have canned salmon/mackerel? Tuna in oil? Sav-a-chick or gaterade or pedialite?
OMG... did the doc pay you or give you a big discount on Med bill???Want nerve racking? I delivered my wife's first child because the doctor was late! She turned out quite well also!
I thank you again for the help I truly thought I was doing something wrong due to when I was begging for advise that I felt was life or death no one responded! Lol anyway I told someone many things I did different once I realized and yes I did couple of unusual not so common things during hatching, where or how should I open up the subject and all the details for our peers to take a look? Mini-nut has some fuzz now on her shoulder and tip of shoulder/top bone by neck and the back of her head which is lil deformed but not noticeable much. Hey, I heard if you hold them on their back and one leg is out and other pulled in it determines the sex opposed to the ones who don’t do that...is that true?Very good news that the chicks made it out. My weak chick cure is as follows: weak pedialyte solution- I dilute my home made version 3:1 pedialyte to distilled water, and would do the same with store bought. First, though, I give one drop of vitamin B12 carefully placed at the front of the beak. It is amazingly easy to cause a chick to aspirate, so be really cautious doing this. I then add about 15 drops of B12 to two tablespoons of the electrolyte solution along with 15 drops of Nutri Drench. As soon as the chick can be given this solution by beak dipping, I give it some every two hours. After that initial B12 drop, try dipping the beak for every subsequent dose, just because it is safer. If the chick's neck is weak, I hold it in the correct position for swallowing and then gently lay it out in the brooder with its neck and body straight and leave it be. If the chick is able to be up and around, I do not do this part-just keep giving it the solution.
It is very good that you've milled the chick feeder down to very fine, the baby may have trouble managing food for a few days. When it can eat on its own, a moistened mash is helpful; you can use the weak chick solution to wet it a bit. Try not to leave wet mash in the brooder for hours though, as it can spoil. It may take several days for this chick to strengthen enough to be considered normal, but I have seen it happen many times. But, if you do lose it, try to remember that neither it nor its twin had any chance without you. I am sure we are all wondering if you had to help the chicks out, and what steps you took in doing so. We all learn from one another's experience, so please let us know.
Yes I agree I believe it was you who said one wld dominate I already for see mininut having many physical and health issues I am just praying it's not going to be my wrong doing that u know, I'd like to believe my ignorance might have let me make choice that brought her here. Who knows Ive come a long way in a month but still don't have much if a clue so anything you feel throwing my way would be great because honestly I went into this "A**" first and last I checked I don't have eyes back there! From what I've heard they've come a long way though don't you think?
Did I send you the message on where I should post all the unusual things I did throughout and at hatching if other are interested? I'm not saying they were right or even sensible but that's part of it due to my lack of knowledge I was able to make sense of what I did, if you understand that???Very good news that the chicks made it out.
