Oh goodness, I think that is his guts. Is there a hole you can put them back into his body through, maybe seal it with a little super glue? That is probably about your only option there, clean it, stuff it back in gently, seal the hole, hope it heals.

I'm not usually one to say this, but I would put the poor thing out of it's misery.

Yes, I was able to get it back in there I used some antibiotics to clean and sealed it up with glue. He was pretty still and quiet while I was helping him, but he is still breathing and kicking his legs a bit. It definitely was his intestines because some discharge-ish stuff came out of his bum. The poor thing..He really doesn't seem to be in pain though. I will keep a good watch over him, I've been giving him some lifewater to get some vitamins in him. I really hope he makes it!

If he doesn't improve in the next day or so I will cull him..But I had another chick I thought wasn't going to make it and he is doing very well now. I almost did cull him, so I'll give this guy a chance before he goes...

There was another thread about the same condition. Both chicks with this condition survived so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for your little chickie.

Same here..

I'm very worried about internal infection even if it does close up. The other chicks were pecking at him a bit and he had some cuts on his intestines I think..

He is still alive, but no improvement

I'm so sorry I hope he pulls through but if he doesn't the humane thing to do is to cull him. I hope he's ok I'm about to cryabout him

Came home from driving class and he was gone..

Hopefully next time I hatch I can avoid this, because this was my very first time hatching..I buried him out by our garden<3
