Two Poults Died -- what is wrong?

Years ago we use to add a bit of sugar to the water for the first few days of life, it would always perk them up..sort of gives them a boost..
2-3 tablespoons sugar to a quart of warm water.. dissolve well..

Thanks, Everyone. The two survivors are doing well and are CUTE! The brooder is just off the living room/kitchen so we hear them peeping all day. They both are already trying to jump/fly out of the brooder so we're going to have to get one with taller walls!

I can't believe how curious they are. When I put in my hand, they both want to climb into it and seem to enjoy playing with my fingers. I wish I had more!

Gonna have to work on DH about that one though, we don't have too many places to keep separate flocks of growing-out birds. I'm hoping these two will eventually sleep in the hen house after learning to free range all day. We keep things very clean. But books all say to keep chickens and turkeys apart, while people here say they're usually fine together.

I see why y'all love turkeys. I wanted them for dinner, but they are winning me over in a way the chickens didn't.

We're having some good rain up here, too. I'm glad we have ours inside.

Oh my gosh, I didn't know turkeys were so cool! I went over to a friends in Payette today and he has about 8 different breeds and they were awesome. I am going to get some but can't decide which.

I am glad yours are doing well and thanks for the info. I will keep an eye out for signs when I get mine.

glad to hear the little buggers are doing great! Maybe you will get lucky and have a hen and a tom, and you can hatch you own eggs next year! Thats how I got my turkeys, from cackle hatchery, and got lucky with my hens, and a neighbor to provide the tom. We just put the ducks outside in their new apartment... old rabbit coop converted to nursery, the turkeys have the entire in house brooder, and are spreading their wings!
