Folks i only have one thing to say about the subject. The tragedy that happened, did so with hand guns. The bushmaster (aka assault weapon) Never left the trunk of the car durring that school shooting. The new gun laws that just passed in NY state, (Which is 90% Country living folks). Makes it so that no gun can hold more than 7 shots in the clip. They passed this law with out setting aside easment for law enforcement.(Cops cant have more than 7 shots) That goes to show they didn't even read it. There just doing what there told by a higher power. Recently in Hudson NY(Register Star Paper) an armed home owner stops previously known felons from braking into his home while his kids were having a sleep over. One police officer injured in a foot chase, 3 men arrested.......Are You An AMERICAN?....Then you better start standing up for your rites before there all gone!.............. Hi, it's not guns, it's people. I appreciate having the right to anything a criminal has, gun wise.
I think the focus is on assult rifles because you can kill more people with a single pull than you can with a gun. The problem nowdays is kids with assult rifles in schools. Why is it schools and not airlines and public buildings? Are schools less important?

There are countries in Europe that make the parent responsible for anything the kid does. Why not give life imprisonment, etc, that the parent gets for not knowing what the child is up to? This country is full of "pass the buck" . I'm sure there are millions of parents out there that DO know what their kids are doing, psychiatric problems, etc. But the rest should be accountable for their kids and not pass the buck. If it's your child, it's your responsibility to know something's wrong. Not mine.

It's so so sad that all you kids have to go to school and run the risk of being shot down by a kid that has parents that didn't pay attention or care what their kid was up to. Sorry about the soapbox!

Maybe we should revisit the "nanny state" and other social dogmas that take the raising of children out of the hands of parents and put in the hands of the government.

I find most of the comments here just parroting the language used by the NRA and I find some of them to be laughable as I see a vision of someone left hanging by their toes and swinging in the wind and complaining. Some of you have actually said it is the fault"of that muslim in the Whitehouse." I just love it that I am not on that side. What I do not find laughable is comments like PeepsInc that are just false. A friend of mine had their son killed in Newtown and that little boy had 11 bullets in his body. All from the Bushmaster. Your statements can be your own opinions, and who cares, they dont count for much. But do not try and just lie to support an ignorant position.

And don't worry, the majority of the American people are standing up for our RIGHTS while they give your shooting victims their last RITES. We voted, we will vote again in 2 more years and the House will be Democrats, and then the next two years all the programs that you have nighmares about will come to fruition, and we will vote again in four more years and you can have 8 more years of Hillary. Keep spewing your venon along with the bullets from your semi-autos. You are all the best argument against what you stand for.
