Two questions for gun control people

If a person is bent on killing they will find a way. At this point in history a gun is the tool of choice. Before that it was a sword or a knife. Before that it was bare hands or a club. It has happened throughout history. What we really need to ask is why is it happening more often and address the core of the issue even if the resolution has to be harsh.

If you check factual statistics, gun violence is significantly down. The recent liberal media coverage would lead you to believe otherwise. If it were possible to reason with liberals then there would be none.

As I pointed out to my mother the other day...we live in the country....we have a ton of coyotes here...I would rather have an AR-15 on me than a pistol when I run into a pack of coyotes. I have said time and time again...a gun is an INANIMATE object...it takes an ANIMATE object to interact with it in order for it to work. It is NOT the gun to blame. It is the idiot behind the gun that is to blame. As for the police not having these so called assault rifles (AR-15) I happen to know several that DO own them. AND they are carried in their squad cars. So that argument is out the window.

Yes ... It is a hot topic for all. You make a good point on animate and inanimate. What is often overlooked on the whole subject is the people element. Take away guns and those bent on killing and destruction will turn to bombs, poisons and other means just like what we see in other regions of the world. Gun control and registering is a "bandaid illusion" that does not address the root of the problem. Gun registry and control was tried in Canada. It failed miserably.

You both are right. If there wasn't any guns how would any of this happen? There are gun laws just not being enforced but now they are. BUT, media has a huge part in this. The game may be fun for someone in the right mind, but someone metally ill will not find it funny but more of .. don't know how to explain it haha

Laws don't protect people ... people and communities protect people. We rely too much on the former and for the most part have forgotten the later.

Gun parts bans are a tactic used by the left. They target the smaller aspect of a user group divide and conquer. Anti hunting groups do this all the time, it is nothing new. They never will propose an all out ban until there Are few enough actual gun owners to put up an effective resistance this is a mob rule society we vote on everything when we don't get our way.
