Hello,
My silver Indian runner duck is about 2 months old and, has, up until a week ago had a white head. This is changing as the feathers are turning black just on its head and neck (I shall add photos bellow), does this indicate that it may be a male?
Second question, as seen in the photos about the question above, my duck has its eye shut and has kept it that way most of this week, it does open its eye when I am about and the eye looks absolutely fine. Could she have an infection or injured it ? There was apparently a small blob of clear discharge in the corner of its eye one stormy day this week but i have been on holiday so haven't seen it for myself.
The second photo is before she started to change colour and the first one is from today (sorry for the bad photos)

Hold eyes shut , what are they being fed? Are they getting enough protein, do you add nutritional yeast for the vitamin B?

Look at the eye again , try to take a picture many on her can help if they can see the problem

For the color change must be a male. For the eye I would consult a vet. I don't know much about duck eye problems. @casportpony what do you think?

They are fed on growers pellets and usually have brewers yeast in their water at least twice a week but I have been away the past two weeks so they haven't been getting that (I shall start it up again tomorrow and shall get a photo when it's light out). Since they are outside all day they do get the opportunity to eat the layers pellets that my older ducks eat but I only see them eating the layers rarely. I have the nutri-drop poultry stuff, should I perhaps give him some of that to see if it helps ?

Have you tried rinsing the eye out he may have gotten some dust or something in it and it’s irratating him. Is there drainage can’t see any on the pic
Apparently there was some clear drainage one evening when he came in about a week ago but appart from that he hasn't had any.
