I want to give my chickens Tylan 50 injectible for CRD. I have read that you can give it orally. Considering I have 58 chickens, the thought of giving it to each individual is a little daunting. Is there a way to put it in their water? If so, how much to a gallon? Is it okay to give them ALL the medicine, even though not everybody is showing symptoms? I looked for Tylan powder, but couldn't find any. (I am planning to order off of Amazon.)

Of the 58, how many are sick?

I'm not sure on an exact number, but I would say at least 20, if not more. The bantams especially are bad.

I think Tylan 50 is water soluble, but not sure it would be a good idea to use in water. I guess you could try it? To get the correct dose in them you need to know how much they drink in a day, and how much they weigh.

The Tylan 50 powder dose is 50 mg per pound per day, which is 1 ml per pound per day, so that will be lots of Tylan 50. :D

Suggestion... Try treating your sickest one with Tylan 50 and see if it responds.
