UGH!! Chicks throwing feed.

So Ive noticed this batch of babies are throwing the feed everywhewre! I have a wire mesh floor to catch poo and they are scraping half inside the bottom.

I just picked up 3 more to add to my flock, I add a bit of water and make a mush, it doesn't get thrown and they seem to like it more, its easier for them to digest to I think...when they get bigger, put a paper plate or pie tin under the feeder, they can eat if off the ground. They like to scratch to find their food anyway, birds are notorious messy eaters!

Suspend the feeder so they can't scratch in it or put a tray underneath it to catch what's knocked out!!

I was being such a newbie lol, wasnt thinking. I put something under so they can eat that jnstead of wasting.it.
