Ugh, it finally happened...

Whoops, meant to edit my last post to say maybe we are giving our chickens too much credit! It takes some level of intelligence to conduct this kind of revenge. Do they laugh at us as they gather to peck at something?

I spend a lot of time in the coop. I even have a chair I bring inside to visit my girls. I always have an old bath towel handy, so I can drape it over my lap.

Once my GLW jumped up on my shoulder when she was 2-3 weeks old. She pooped a cecal on my shoulder and it got in my hair.

I just about puked. I hopped in the shower so fast and washed out my hair a few times.

I don't let them on my shoulders. My D'Uccle will fly up to my shoulder the first thing when I walk in the coop. She's such a sweetie. I take her off right away and we sit together as she tells me what's going on in the coop while I'm gone.lol

The first time it happened I was a little put off too. But now I fully expect crap on my clothes...if not actually getting "terded on"...then having reminants of terd on my clothes left from their feet stepping in it, then on my lap!

I am constantly cleaning up dog, horse, and cat crap, so why not chickens too. My friends joke about my house being the poop place...seems like when they stop over I am almost always cleaning a coop or stall!

I remember years ago there was this guy from Georgia who took quail poop and made it into some kind of jewelry. Burt Reynolds even bought some of it from him. I wonder if Chicken Poop Jewelry would be a big hit? Guess I might even sit with them on my lap with a cup handy to catch it if there was some good money in it!

Agree as a Mom of four chicken poo is icky

. We love that our chickens are always out and free range, but walking on the back porch at night stepping on a golf ball size of chicken poo, yep maybe payback for all the kicking them out of my flower beds, lol~

Mine get near me but they won't let me touch them. I didn't raise them. I got them when they were adults. Maybe that is why they aren't that friendly.

I'm used to it. It get on my shoes, I hose them off. It gets on my clothes, I hose them off. Today, it was actually INSIDE my pocket. Yep, I hosed it off. Poop happens.
