Ugh no eggs yet!

20 weeks is still VERY young. You don't need to worry at all. They'll start laying soon :) My white leghorn, who is supposed to be a super early maturing breed, waited to 31 weeks! So just be patient and they'll lay for you :)

I'll join. I've got 9 pullets from 16-30 weeks and I get 1 egg a day for the last 3 weeks from my BR, the other 8 haven't layed yet. If I didn't have to feed and water them every day I'd like to not watch the nest box for a couple of days and see if I get a surprise. Kind of like the "watched pot never boils" type deal. Hope we get some eggs this week!

just give them some time to get use to their new enviorment, they will lay again. They have to know that they are safe. Trust me, I was going crazy! I thought I was doing something wrong as well, but then Tues. morning it happened, my first egg!!!!! I also put a light in their coup, because light dont make it inside very well!! With the weather changing, comes shorter days, maybe you need to consider doing the same!!! Good Luck

Thanks so much! So here's an update...2 of them have started laying!! My EE, diva began the day of hurricane Sandy...scared the eggs right out if her! Pretty little blue green eggs! Then my pet BR ( oh this chicken is like a puppy) started 2 days later! Light brown eggs. Both have laid just about every day! My husband is thrilled and I get so excited its like Christmas morning every time I find an egg. How can this ever get old??
Thanks again!!
