Ugh Oh, More Science on Red Fox in Urban Settings

Interesting read. I’m in UK and the ones my son & his dad take out go off to DEFRA (Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs) They are DNA tested and have a whole host of other tests performed on them too. It’s very interesting reading in the end as sometimes the foxes in our rural area have actually come from an urban strain. Our thinking is they have possibly been found injured in an urban setting but released back in to a rural setting. In my opinion not good for the foxes as they have no idea how to live rurally when they have had a plentiful supply of food in an urban setting.

Urban foxes are a big problem here unfortunately. Several reports of them entering houses and attacking people. Even attacking babies in their cots.
