UGH.....Rooster crowing at 3:30am!!!

This definately is a nicer hour for sure. I have a few birds that free range full time. {can't catch them} There are two huge cedar trees in front of my house and this is where they sleep. Any time the porch light is turned on they start crowing. Its really funny seeing someones reaction that doesn't know they are there.

Instead of flying out of the tree in the morning they get on top of my house. The little buggers don't fly off there either, they all march to the back of the house and fly off that way. Sounds like an army sometimes.

Oh, and I just woke my pigs up.

This sounds bad.

We live 4 doors down from the city park, with stadium lights on during softball season. Lights our place up good!

Guess it's gonna be interesting when I move the babies outside.

HOW long till my roos are big enough to eat???

This reminded me of the time my son decided to get a chicken badge and ordered 100 SR chicks. They turned out to be 75% roos and all learned how to crow at the same time. Those first little crows were so cute, but then they got better at it and would sound off anytime, day or night.

We had a Delaware roo that we had to re home because he crowed at all hours, day or night.

I've yet to hear my blue roo crow, but he also has failed at getting the fertilization job done also. We'll see what happens when he get's younger pullets to go in with him.
