Hope you feel better soon! I came down with Bell's two years ago. It started with a bad pain behind my right ear and several days later I woke up with the right side of my face paralyzed. Urgent care thought I had a stroke and sent me to the ER where they determined it was Bell's. Gave me nothing just sent me home. I followed up with me doctor and he gave me a medication used for epilepsy. Didn't do much. Went away after about a month, although I still think my right eye doesn't open as far as is it used to. I do get a lot of cold sores so I don't know if it is related or not. The pain was horrible and I could not stand loud noises. The phone ringing, or a door shutting was just awful. I couldn't go into restaurants where there was a lot of talking or clanging and banging. I never want to have that again and I hope you recover very quickly. It was no fun.
